What we do

Home & Garden Champs solves the Housing Fragmentation Problem by building the local operating infrastructure for home services in Chittenden County. We connect and organize the homeowners, landlords, renters, contractors, cleaners, landscapers, property managers, suppliers, and businesses that depend on one another—creating service networks, contractor pipelines, sourcing channels, property support programs, and coordination systems that make local home services easier to access, manage, and grow.

Programs & Offers

$100 for Renters

The $100 for Renters Program helps current and prospective renters receive a one-time $100 payout when their landlord or property manager signs up with Shuk Rentals through Home & Garden Champs. Champs helps renters understand the program, check whether their situation may qualify, and coordinate next steps. Availability depends on landlord participation, Shuk signup, rental status, and program eligibility.

Pay What You Can™ for Homeowners

Champs is piloting a Pay What You Can home and garden support program in Chittenden County. We help homeowners with small tasks, seasonal cleanup, and basic property work. Visits are generally limited to 2 hours, and customers must provide the tools and materials needed for the job. After the visit, customers pay what they can. Card, cash, and check accepted. This pilot may help shape a future nonprofit home-preservation fund.

Service Provider Directory Buildout

Home & Garden Champs is building a local service provider network in Chittenden County. We identify contractors, handymen, cleaners, landscapers, painters, maintenance workers, suppliers, property managers, and small businesses; learn what they do and where they work; and help connect them with homeowners, renters, landlords, and property managers. Service providers can sign up to get in on the Rotation and be considered for relevant jobs.

Property Monitoring for Landlords

Property Monitoring is a pilot program for Chittenden County landlords who want regular eyes on their rental property without handing over full property management.Home & Garden Champs documents visible property conditions, tracks maintenance concerns, coordinates owner-approved access, and provides clear updates through Shuk Rentals. For occupied rental monitoring, landlords must have an active Shuk Rentals subscription and provide authorized user access for property condition-related matters.
